For swimming, you will not miss the public swimming pool at Marboué, its playgrounds and mini-golf,
only 300 yards away from La Place Saint Martin.
A regularly scheduled bus service stops at Marboué,the
Transbeauce, which
operates the Tours-Vendôme-Cloyes-Chateaudun-Chartres line.
Châteaudun:
This "sous-préfecture" of 14,000 souls will offer all you may require in terms of
shops, services, restaurants, movie theater, hospital, train station (1h30 away from Paris, gare d'Austerlitz),
taxi cabs, etc...
It is a vibrating small town, as you'll find out by visiting its
Tourist Information Office.
In particular, we recommend you do not miss the "foire aux laines" (medieval festival),
the first week-end of july each year.
